This cute little caulescent plant is a cross of (tectorum x paleacea) reaching about 6 to 8 inches long, with 2 inch fuzzy silver leaves. Not as fuzzy as the tectorum parent, but still very fuzzy. A very prolific, fast-grower, producing many offsets and forming clumps fairly quickly. The scape is about 6 inches long with purple flowers. Grow it hanging from a string or mount it. A very easy ‘confidence builder’ for beginners, but a nice plant for any collection.
Regular Retail prices are $5.00 9Small plant), $8.00 (Medium plant) and $15.00 (Small Clump). Save $3.25 - $7.50 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

I purchased a nice healthy Tillandsia harrisii and 5 other Tillandsia’s from Tropifora. My favorite Bromeliad nursery since 1989!!

A hybrid of (mallemontii x duratii) by M. Patterson in Australia, it’s a pretty good combination of the two parents. Tillandsia duratii is a robust plant with a long stem and curling leaves, rootless in the adult form and producing a long, branched inflorescence with fragrant purple flowers. Tillandsia mallemontii is a plant with fine leaves, forming a tangled ball with many plants. The slender inflorescence is un-branched and produces a large, fragrant, purple flower.
The hybrid ‘Wonga’ looks more like a skinny duratii with many curly leaves and a long, branching inflorescence. The stunning thing though is that the flowers of both parents are very fragrant and those of ‘Wonga’ are not!

(One of the parent crosses, harrisii, is on CITES)
This is a natural hybrid of (capitata x harrisii) from Guatemala. An open rosette with white lepidote foliage that blushes pink in bloom to over 12 inches across. Blue flowers. Very attractive and long lasting.

Native to the Andes of Venezuela, this cliff dweller is one of the jewels of the genus. A caulescent plant forming large clumps in just a few years, has fine, needle-like leaves about 3/4 inch long which flush red when blooming.
The flower is a single, red, slightly flaring tube. A clump in bloom is a sight to behold! Flowers at various times throughout the warm months. A must for any collection, simply hang from a wire, grow it bright, water and fertilize frequently, allow to dry quickly.
Regular Retail price is $4.00 (Small plant) and $5.00 (Medium plant). Save $2.50-$3.00 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

An all-time favorite from Brazil is about 6 inches across in a leafy rosette with stiff gray-green leaves. It produces a stunning blue-flowered, plume-shaped pink inflorescence in the summer. In nature this plant can be found growing on the restinga sands of beach dunes and in trees in the foothills of the Atlantic Range in Brazil.
Large clumps will form in just a few seasons, that can be hung from wires and will form perfectly symmetrical balls of many plants. One of the easiest and most prolific of Tillandsias to cultivate.
Regular Retail prices are $4.00 (Small plant), $6.00 (Medium plant), $8.00 (Large plant) and $15.00 (Small Clump). Save $2.50 - $7.50 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

The order arrived perfect. Well packed for shipment. They perked right up after a drink of water. Can't wait to see them in their full color!
Received the plants in perfect condition and as always well packed and labeled. Plants are always clean and well groomed. never ever get any plants with dried leaves or trimmed tips, plants are perfect in every way. My only improvement would be to send plants of the same grade size. Some plants were offsets while others were the larger size ordered.

A rare caulescent species from Sumidero Canyon in Chiapas, Mexico, where it covers the canyon walls in some places, by the thousands. Tillandsia ionantha v. vanhyningii has short thick leaves on a 3 to 6 inch stem and blushes a peach color when in bloom and forms large cascading clusters. The plant grows with a long stem that forms many adventitious offsets which can be removed and grown or left to form a large cluster. Very easy to grow, bright and airy.
Regular Retail price is $4.00 (Small plant) and $6.00 (Medium plant). Save $2.25 - $3.50 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

A unique yellow-blushing clone of Tillandsia ionantha with white flowers. When in bloom, the whole top of the plant turns a bright golden yellow instead of red. A beautiful sight! Found amongst plants imported from Veracruz, Mexico by Drew Schulz and later named ‘Druid’ by her husband in her honor, adding a twist of mystery as well.
Easy to grow as the ‘normal’ form and thus far, completely stable.

A cross of two plants of the southern cone of South America. Tillandsia ixioides which has few, very stiff leaves and no appreciable stem and bergeri which has a long stem and many short, stiff leaves. The result is a plant with many stiff leaves that recurve downwards in a rosette to about 4 inches in diameter. The inflorescence favors bergeri, with pale blue, twisted petals.

A perfect hybrid. Halfway between both parents (brachycaulos x concolor), this fine hybrid has the shape of a concolor with fairly stiff leaves, but a glabrous sheen like brachycaulos. At anthesis it blushes red with a short scape with long, stiff bracts and short red branches bearing deep violet flowers. Highly recommended.
