A large growing Skotak hybrid. The name is derived from the plaid markings on the leaves. Green leaves with striated variegation that develops a red veneer. Mature size is 24 inches across.

A decorative small growing plant, with deep burgundy colored, green speckled leaves. Makes a nice clump in a pot or basket. Very pretty.

A large growing variegated hybrid by Ray Coleman. Medium green with cream variegation. Develops a broken veneer of red over the leaves. Matures at 24 inches across. Grows best in bright filtered light.

One of Grant Groves finest hybrids. A large, robust plant with especially broad leaves in a 24 inch rosette that blushes a bright red with maturity, regardless of blooming.

A new 2024 release from Chester Skotak. A large grower that matures at 32 inches across. Medium green with white margins Numerous wavy cross-bands throughout the leaves. The veneer is bright red. Grows best in bright filtered light.

A nice cultivar of concentrica, with wide glossy leaves, mottled with dark purple. Tips are dark and there is much dark purple concentric banding. Center flush at anthesis is dark lavender.

One of Chester Skotak’s ‘creations’. He crossed ‘Hannibal Lecter’ with ‘Tiger Cub’ and got another ‘killer’ plant! (Pun intended) Deep-green leaves are glossy-green, thick and leathery, marked with blackish bars and banding on the upper and lower sides. The leaf margins are heavily armed with large black spines. A medium grower to about 18 inches in a loose rosette.

A miniature hybrid from Vinzant is a cultivar of ‘Screaming Tiger’ x ‘Doodlebug’. The plant is vase shaped with a slightly flaring top. The color is a deep chocolate burgundy with yellow banding, with the leaf axils almost solid yellow. The banding seems to be in the middle portion of the plant. There is no color change at anthesis. Offsets before anthesis, with offsets on stolons.
