This plant is from the group of confusingly similar species including disjunctum and leprosum. This plant from Minas Gerais, Brazil, favors the leprosum but we have not had a taxonomist pass judgment on this one yet. A large, wide leaved, silvery plant with arching foliage in a 24 inch rosette. The foliage is somewhat soft with prominent marginal spines. The inflorescence is a tall scape with long leaf-like bracts and clusters of short branches with green floral bracts.
