A very nice species from Central America that for years went in the trade as paucifolia (or circinnata) 'Pink Form', that is until it was given scientific treatment and was declared a new species in its own right. Bulbous based with twisting, terete leaves and a nice clear pink inflorescence, this is an easy to grow, colorful, must have species for all Tillandsia lovers.

Formerly Tillandsia pucarensis this species from Peru is a fairly large plant with semi-soft gray foliage and an erect simple or barely branched pink inflorescence. The narrow leaves form a leafy, upright rosette. This clone came to us from Germany with the accession code of BOE0A456.

A robust form of this caulescent species from Brazil grows to about 8 inches long but can exceed 12 inches. Stiff, reddish leaves make this a handsome species and it easily forms large clusters. The inflorescence has pink bracts and white flowers. Both an epiphyte and lithophyte in habitat, it does well mounted or simply suspended from a string or wire.

This one of the larger species, growing to well over 12 inches tall. It is more upright with silvery leaves and an inflorescence of orange which terminates in an offset.
I do not believe that I purchased a latafolia. But your order was excellent for what I did get.

A cultivar of a hybrid by Mark Dimmitt of Tillandsia ferreyrae x bulbosa, named by N. Wong. Taller and larger and leafier than bulbosa, but most resembling that parent. A handsome plant with an egg-shaped, bulbous base and terete leaves that are mostly upright and somewhat wavy. Green with a slight veneer of silver trichomes, it blushes red on the upper leaves at anthesis. The inflorescence is tall, but not as tall as the foliage and bright reddish. Forms large clusters with time.

A clone of (seleriana x tricolor) by Bill Timm. A unusual hybrid that produces a bulbous base with upright, terete leaves dusted with silvery trichomes. The inflorescence is branched, rose-red with blue flowers and emerges from the leaves to one side of the rosette.

A naturally occurring hybrid of (fasciculata x ionantha), this plant was originally described as a species. For some, this plant is Tillandsia 'Jalapa-Fortin' because of the road where it is often found in Veracruz, Mexico. A great plant however you name it. In general it looks like a very big ionantha, blushing red when it blooms and having a short to nonexistent scape of blue flowers.
*VIPP plants are small, not in bud/color

Beautiful plants. Bought 3 for lusher effect. To me Tillandsias with subtle blooms like this are the best. And of course, I'm a sucker for gray/white foliage. Shipping is top-notch.
