THIS PLANT IS ON C.I.T.E.S. AND CANNOT BE EXPORTED
A clone of the species with slender stems, heavily branched with short internodes, deep green in color but with dense tufts of silver hairs at each, densely packed, aerole. It could almost be called ‘wooly’. Flowers are white, small but many, and its fruit are fuchsia colored. This clone came to us from the collection of the Marie Selby Botanical Garden with an accession number of SEL 1997-2042.

Doug Tropiflora pictures don't do this one justice. Moderately hairy stems and prolific flowers that yield attractive red fruits. Watch out for an occasional small sharp spine but fortunately rare. Easily identified and makes a nice specimen plant. Fast grower when happy.
