An interesting somewhat braided looking species, with pencil thick stems. The stems are quadrangular with the ribs or angles set at a slight twist with each segment, every half inch or so. Very decorative.

I have had this for about 20 years. Purchased from 2 different sources as 6" cuttings ,both incorrectly Identified as dwarf paradoxa. Long, rigid bizarre stems with limited branching that does not go pendant until about 2' long and very distinctive. Has never bloomed for me. Goes years with little or no growth, then will shoot out a new, long stem. Was my favorite rhipsalis for a long time,
