A widespread species that is found in many habitats from south Texas to Guatemala. Hechtia glomerata varies in size, color and form to some degree but until Andy Siekkinen discovered a stoloniferous colony of the species in Queretaro, Mexico, this morph had not been seen before in this species. Smaller than some, this form also blushes red (under the right conditions) and tends to have a white band of trichomes up the leaf margins. The stolons are long and slender reaching out past the longest leaves. A choice form. (Andy Siekkinen’s accession number: AS105)
