This Carole Richtmyer hybrid is one of two cultivars of Cryptanthus ‘Rita Padden’ x lacerdae ‘Menescal,’ the other being ‘Stephen Hoppin,’ having 18+ linear-lanceolate leaves forming a medium plant to 12″ in diameter with a full round shape. Green-brown in color with the typical scurf pattern of Cryptanthus lacerdae, that is, a central triangle of scurf outlined with a non-scurf margin outlined with scurf to the leaf edge. Offsets are produced on 4″ to 6″ long stolons.
