A robust hybrid of Ae. distichantha x phanerophlebia. The plant is a fairly large grower to about 30 inches tall in an upright, somewhat thickly tubular rosette, very similar to the phanerophlebia parent. The leaves are very stiff and spiny with a stout terminal spine. The plant forms a tubular or bottle shape before blooming and the spike is a tightly branched panicle of pink. Great for landscape use notably cold hardy.
