Formerly Tillandsia pucarensis this species from Peru is a fairly large plant with semi-soft gray foliage and an erect simple or barely branched pink inflorescence. The narrow leaves form a leafy, upright rosette. This clone came to us from Germany with the accession code of BOE0A456.
A surprising little plant from Brazil's Atlantic Rainforest. Growing in colonies of a few to many dozen plants, a small clump may resemble Til. recurvata until it flowers. Don't worry about confusing the two, though, as mallemontii is nearly always covered with many large purple, fragrant flowers. Certainly one of the easiest of all Tillandsias to grow. Enjoys good air circulation, medium to bright shaded conditions and frequent watering with fast drying. May be mounted or just suspended from a string for wonderful results.

A Mark Dimmitt hybrid of streptophylla x pseudobaileyi. The shape of the plant is bulbous with silvery green foliage. Grows up to 16 inches with a soft pink and green branched inflorescence.
A robust form of this caulescent species from Brazil grows to about 8 inches long but can exceed 12 inches. Stiff, reddish leaves make this a handsome species and it easily forms large clusters. The inflorescence has pink bracts and white flowers. Both an epiphyte and lithophyte in habitat, it does well mounted or simply suspended from a string or wire.
A twelve inch wide rosette of arching, channeled, silvery leaves on a short stem. Leaves curl slightly at the tips, a trait inherited from the duratii parent. The inflorescence is tall with several upright branches and a light lavender blue. Flowers have an open corolla and are white, edged in purple. Somewhat surprisingly the flowers have no fragrance. A very handsome hybrid!
An attractive hybrid of (albertiana x ixioides) by Mark Dimmitt, who has made several plants in a series, using T. albertiana as one parent. A colorful small hybrid with intensely peach to reddish-orange flowers. The inflorescence is on a 3 inch scape with a cluster of branches at the end, bearing multiple flowers. Very pretty.
A clone of (seleriana x tricolor) by Bill Timm. A unusual hybrid that produces a bulbous base with upright, terete leaves dusted with silvery trichomes. The inflorescence is branched, rose-red with blue flowers and emerges from the leaves to one side of the rosette.
A naturally occurring hybrid of (fasciculata x ionantha), this plant was originally described as a species. For some, this plant is Tillandsia 'Jalapa-Fortin' because of the road where it is often found in Veracruz, Mexico. A great plant however you name it. In general it looks like a very big ionantha, blushing red when it blooms and having a short to nonexistent scape of blue flowers.

Not the same plant as 'Silver Trinket' but the same parents (ionantha x chiapensis). A very leafy open rosette to about 8 or 10 inches tall with a pinkish blush to the scurfy, silvery leaves. The inflorescence is very colorful, a cluster of dark red - burgundy branches nested deep in the center, with large, tubular, inky-blue flowers. Very pretty and easy to grow. Likes to be on the dry side.
