This great little Jim Irvin hybrid is a cultivar of ‘Angel Face’ x ampullacea ‘Midget’ that matures at about 6 inches but can grow somewhat larger if fed heavily. The growth is compact in a stiff-leaved rosette of glossy, olive green leaves heavily speckled with tiny, pepper-like burgundy dots.

A Neoregelia ‘Fireball’ hybrid that is said to have originated in the Philippines. Closely resembling that parent, it’s small, to about eight inches across, and grows on four to six-inch stolons. It has an open rosette shape with green leaves that blush pink in strong light. Broad white margins that tint pink make this a stand out plant.
Easily forms clusters of many plants and is superior for hanging basket culture. In landscape this plant can be adapted to full sun if done so gradually. Good sized for terrarium use and has spineless leaves.
