This is a beauty and one of our favorite Tillandsias! We collected our original plants many years ago in Southern Ecuador and have propagated them since. An excellent species with many arching silvery-gray leaves in a 20 inch or larger rosette, with a beautiful branched rose-red inflorescence lasting for months.

Native to semi arid valleys and can often be found in trees near water courses. Somewhat of a slow grower but a spectacular plant at maturity. This species thrives with bright light and moderate watering and feeding.

A large growing species from the area where Jalisco, Colima and Michoacan states of Mexico come together, it is found in all three. Growing in full sun, mainly on the ground in open scrub amongst deciduous shrubs and small trees, it can reach about 24 inches tall and when in bloom, over six feet tall! Such heights though are rarely attained in cultivation. The foliage is silvery-grey tinting pinkish in an upright, vase shaped rosette.

The inflorescence is bright pink with a very tall scape topped with slender, upright branches, all pink, with tubular, light lavender flowers. A rare species discovered by Renate Ehlers in 1991.

A large growing species from the area where the Rio Marabasco separates the Mexican states of Jalisco and Colima, an area of rugged mountains and rocky canyons.  This species is mostly found growing in full sun, mainly on the ground in open scrub among deciduous shrubs and small trees.  A large species that can reach about 24 inches tall and when in bloom, over six feet tall! This clone, however stays much smaller in size.

In cultivation, a three foot tall plant in bloom is much more typical. The foliage is silvery-grey in an upright, vase shaped rosette. The inflorescence is a very tall scape with many slender, upright branches of yellow with light reddish borders to the bracts.  Flowers are tubular, whitish, light lavender. A rare species discovered by Renate Ehlers in 1991.

A Guatemalan species to about 8 x 10 inches with lovely thick silvery leaves, a bright red, cylindrical, simple spike and purple flowers. Nice for mounting. Considered an endangered species, is rather rare in nature, but very commonly cultivated. Especially easy to grow, a confidence builder for beginners.

This 'Special Clone' popped up in our greenhouse among the regular T. harrisii. It is considered 'unstable' our grower gives it a 50/50 chance of producing variegated offsets. Try your luck!

A bizarre Tillandsia from Mexico, certainly the most unusual of the proliferating Tillandsias. The plants are long and thin, with stiff gray leaves ending in a tight curl. It is in nearly a constant state of bloom, producing an offset from the tip of the spike and additional ones from the base of the mother plant. Eventually, will form huge clusters of intertwined plants that hang down in a cascade. A true oddity and easy to grow.

A medium sized species from Bolivia and Argentina, with very stiff silvery leaves in a spreading rosette. A tall, nodding scape with brownish bracts bears butter yellow flowers. Forms large clusters of plants in habitat and does very well mounted. Easy to grow and fairly cold hardy.

A cross of two plants of the southern cone of South America. Tillandsia ixioides which has few, very stiff leaves and no appreciable stem and bergeri which has a long stem and many short, stiff leaves. The result is a plant with many stiff leaves that recurve downwards in a rosette to about 4 inches in diameter. The inflorescence favors bergeri, with pale blue, twisted petals but can be variable in color (see photos).

There seem to be two forms of Tillandsia jaliscomonticola from Mexico's desert southwest, one that produces a simple, un-branched, but large spike and one that produces an inflorescence with multiple branches. The branched form produces from three to six or more branches that are thickly inflated, and form an upright cluster at the top of the rachis. Colors are stunning, bright red below and bright yellow above, and lasting for months, make this a top choice of showy Tillandsia species. The foliage is narrow and channeled, in an open, arching rosette. A spectacular plant that is easy to cultivate, warm and breezy.

Living Tillandsias attached to assorted shells. This adorable display resembles a jellyfish! Super easy to take care of and makes an easy gift for the plant or sea animal enthusiast lover in your life.

The shells have fishing line secured to the top. You can hang it from the fishing line or upside down with the plant facing upwards in a bright filtered light area. Growing in a widow works wonders. 

When watering, you can get the entire plant and shell wet but make sure excess water is able to escape.

We will pack the shipment as carefully as we can, but we can not guarantee that the Alfonso shells will not break during shipment due to their delicate shell. Please understand this risk when purchasing the Alfonso shell. Muffin Snail and Tonna Shell would be a more secure option.

One of the most desirable and sought Tillandsia species ever. This is the rare clone with the deep-red inflorescence, from the hinterlands of the Darien in Panama. A rather small plant, growing to about six inches across in a somewhat bulbous, greenish-gray open rosette. The inflorescence is a short inflated, disproportionately large, arrowhead-shaped scape of deep red. We collected our original stock of these beauties some years ago on one of our most adventurous trips ever, and have established a nice sized colony. Easily forms clumps.

Grow bright, out of direct sun, keep warm and feed often.
