The rosette is flat measuring to 18 inches when mature. The leaves are wide with large spines. Grows best in bright light or full sun. A grex mate of Dyckia 'Battle Axe'
A beautiful small-growing hybrid of (chloristaminea x marnier-lapostolle). The leaves are moderately stiff, silvery over reddish-purple with large, soft spines, recurving in smallish rosettes to barely 6 inches across. (The plants in the photos are full grown). A clustering plant that will form a nice specimen in a 4 or 5 inch pot in time.
This stunning large cross of Dyckia platyphylla x ‘Carlsbad‘ has many spiny arching leaves in a rosette to well over 18 inches. One of the most colorful of Dyckia hybrids, it has reddish/brown leaves in full sun or a deep burgundy color in lower light.
Dyckia ‘Grey Ops’ – a Bill Baker hybrid with D. marnier-lapostollei in the grex. Heavy silver scurffing on wide leaves makes for an attractive plant. Bright orange flowers are sizable.

A selected clone of a cross of (Dyckia ‘Brittle Star’ f2 x estevesii) x estevesii was a part of Ray Lemieux’s attempt to breed a distichous growing hybrid, like the parent species; estevesii. He got close here as the plants start out with distichous growth but tend to change over to a rosette eventually. A very leafy plant with many stiff, recurving, bronzy to purplish-green leaves with massive, sharp marginal spines. An attractive foliage plant. The inflorescence is a branched scape with small orange flowers.
