A Neoregelia olens cultivar from Lisa Vinzant. Small plants with stiff leaves in an upright funnelform rosette, are yellowish-green, suffused with red speckles and red tips. Cup turns crimson at anthesis. The stoloniferous habit makes for a nice full pot specimen or a great hanging basket subject. Grows best in bright filtered light.
Neoregelia 'Lila Candystripe'

A Grant Groves hybrid of unreported parentage. A medium variety, mature at about 16 inches across in an open rosette shape. Leaves are about 2.25 inches wide and are colored the same as a Neo. ‘Lila’, but instead of the solid lilac, the color is in stripes up the leaves. A nice novelty plant.
* As of July 6: Plants are 1/2 grown, mostly green now.
Neoregelia 'Magali'
7219
One of Grant Groves finest hybrids. A large, robust plant with especially broad leaves in a 24 inch rosette that blushes a bright red with maturity, regardless of blooming.

I always love the plants I get from Tropiflora. I think they are a good value, and they arrive in a timely manner in good condition
Back in the last century, specifically from the 1980s through about 1993, I lived and breathed bromeliads.
I worked at a high class tropical plant shop in Gatlinburg Tennessee, where I was introduced to the diversity of the bromeliaceae.
I met Mr Groves at Bert Fosters' nursery, and I feel we became friends.
Magali is one of heaven knows how many superior Neoregelia hybrids that Grant made. And not just Neos.
I like to think of Magali as a retro looking Neoregelia. Back when I worked at Blooms of Gatlinburg, the basic 4 bromeliads we sold were Ae. fasciata, Vr. splendens, Guz. lingulata, and Ne. carolinae. Or hybrids made from them.
Neoregelia 'Magali' makes a great house plant. Get one for yourself now. Here's Grant in a tree, much like Mulford Foster before him
What can I say - everything at Tropiflora is great. The staff is knowledgble and friendly. The bromeliads are gorgeous and maintained with tender loving care. I love working with Tropiflora. They make me lok smart with my customers. Thanks,
Dave
Neoregelia 'Noggin'
8646
A Ray Coleman cultivar from the same grex that produced ‘Unseasonably Hot‘ though it doesn’t look anything like it. This plant is a beauty in a full rosette of glossy, yellow tinted green leaves that have a reddish wash and a veneer of red spots and flecks overall. The leaf tips are apiculate and red. Moderate spines on the margins of the 1.5 inch wide leaves. A choice plant!

A miniature hybrid from Vinzant is a cultivar of ‘Screaming Tiger’ x ‘Doodlebug’. The plant is vase shaped with a slightly flaring top. The color is a deep chocolate burgundy with yellow banding, with the leaf axils almost solid yellow. The banding seems to be in the middle portion of the plant. There is no color change at anthesis. Offsets before anthesis, with offsets on stolons.

This outstanding Skotak hybrid is a cultivar of [(carolinae x concentrica) x ‘Royal Burgundy’] x ‘Royal Burgundy’.
