A Ray Coleman cross of (gigas x ‘Tingua’) that is a large growing plant reaching 20 inches tall and 45 inches across with 3 inch wide leaves. In strong light the leaves are rich, rusty brown with some dark red speckling. No significant color change at anthesis. Flowers are blue. Useful in landscape as it is a large grower with a tolerance for sun and harsh conditions.

A beautiful little plant. I am always looking for small growing Neoregelias, and this Neoregelia "critter" is a real gem.
Looks just as shown in the online photo. I love the tiny varieties for use in terrariums and small containers. Very happy with my purchase.

Lisa Vinzant’s hybrid is a cultivar of 'Punctate Red' x ('Dexter's Pride' x olens). A smallish, compact grower with 1.25 inch wide leaves in a rosette to about 6 inches tall and 8 inches across. Leaves are emerald green with red banding and speckles throughout and have red tips. A very stiff plant, spiny, upright, flaring growth. The plant is stoloniferous.

Neoregelia 'High Intensity'

A medium size hybrid from Chester Skotak maxing out at 18 inches across. As the plant matures it develops a hot magenta pink veneer. With the leaf edges being a cream color, the veneer becomes more intense. This plant looks like it could be the reverse of Neo. Backstabber.
The deep colors on this bromeliad are amazing. It’s an excellent colorful addition to our landscaping.
I recently visited Tropiflora Nursery in Sarasota Fl. There were so many beautiful Bromeliads to choose from! One of the ones I purchased was a Neoregelia “High Intensity”. The vivid color caught my eye immediately. It looks gorgeous mounted to my palm tree!

This 2010 Skotak hybrid is a clone of [(carolinae variegated x Hannibal Lector) x Tiger Cub] x punctatissima ‘Rubra’. A miniature with vivid colors. Light green with reddish bars narrowly spaced on the upper and lower sides of the leaf. A broad white stripe up the center of the leaf blushes pink to reddish in strong light. A choice plant for high color and compact size.

This miniature is from Lisa Vinzant. It has a lot of contrast for a small plant. The green leaves have rich chocolate brown bars that can be seen on both sides of the leaves. Growing to 6 inches across. Offsets are produced on 3 inch long stolons. Looks best in a hanging pot grown in bright filtered light.
