Deep glossy green color and a light purple veneer, with symmetrical, well spaced, green spots. Prefers to be grown on the drier side. Little upright rosettes to 6 inches across of about ten, inch-wide leaves, with growth on short stolons. A nice plant for growing in clumps. No leaf blush at anthesis. Flowers are white.

A clone of RC070 ('Rafa' x 'Betty Head') by Ray Coleman.  A lively colored small plant, light green with deep reddish brown blotches that form bands or ‘tiger stripes’ on the upper and undersides of the leaves. The leaves are fairly stiff in a spreading, funnel form rosette, over an inch wide, and somewhat channeled.  A really good looking, compact, colorful, robust plant.

A cute miniature Neo hybrid from Ray Coleman.  An upright grower with stiff, inch-wide light green leaves that are heavily banded with rusty red on the top and bottom and having cherry red tips. Color and patterns vary. A nice plant for a clustering specimen or for terrarium use.

Bold white margins contrast with deep green leaves that blush reddish in strong light. At anthesis the center flushes deep red. Widely popular in landscape use in central and southern Florida.

A vividly colored Ray Coleman hybrid of (Bianca x (Fr cruenta x con) x meyendorffii). Bright yellowish background with many burgundy-red concentric bands merging to solid reddish toward the leaf tips. Different, and that's a good thing when it comes to Neoregelia hybrids.

An as yet unnamed cross of Neoregelia ‘Rio Ocher’ x olens ‘Vulcan’ is an apple green plant with a vivid red center flush at anthesis. The inch and a half wide leaves are somewhat thick and leathery and the marginal spines are small. It develops some red cross-banding on the leaves which become more pronounced with strong light or when grown “harder”. Offsets are on short stolons and the plant is good for mounting and for terrarium use.

This Chester Skotak hybrid (cross not yet reported) is a Neo. ‘Hannibal Lecter’- like plant in size, shape and pattern. The leaves start out green but with age and good light develop a yellowish tinge. The leaves are heavily marked with red banding in the typical Tiger pattern and the leaf edges have moderate spines. Beautiful, glossy foliage, a winner!

A nice small hybrid from Lisa Vinzant. A loose rosette of green leaves that turn orangish. As the plant matures, the plant develops brick red crossbands. Anthesis color is bright red.

A neat little hybrid from Bob Spivey that forms stoloniferous clusters of small, solid purple-red rosettes. Good choice for terrariums.
