Native to Costa Rica, Panama and Ecuador, it makes it’s home in moist forests, growing as an epiphyte or saxicole on moss-covered limbs and rocks. A soft leaved Racinaea with light green leaves in an open rosette, spotted at the base with purple. The inflorescence is branched, with dry, brownish bracts, but sports large white, very fragrant flowers. Culture is easy in shaded locations, potted in moist media or mounted and watered daily.

Tillandsia latifolia 'Canta'
789
This one of the larger species, growing to well over 12 inches tall. It is more upright with silvery leaves and an inflorescence of orange which terminates in an offset.

I do not believe that I purchased a latafolia. But your order was excellent for what I did get.
