Tillandsia fasciculata 'Magnificent'
498
A very select clone of this handsome species, originally from Panama. This plant takes on a deep red leaf color in bright light and may be grown in full sun. The inflorescence is a massive set of thickly inflated, deep red branches. We collected the original plants many years ago in Northern Panama as offsets from plants growing in trees in open pasture land. From a hot, humid area, subject to seasonal drought. In other words; easy to grow!

Tillandsia fasciculata 'Multispike'
8422
A superior version of the typical T. fasciculata with stiff greenish gray leaves in an upright rosette and a multi-branched spike of red, yellow and orange. Very nice!

Tillandsia fasciculata 'Pink and Green'
1980
This is an unidentified species that is at least similar to fasciculata and with a ‘Pink & Green’ inflorescence. We have had this for many years and in the interim have lost the locality data for it. We believe that this was originally from Mexico, but may be mistaken. Too bad, because this data is important when trying to identify plants. At any rate, this is a nice and colorful, fairly large-growing Tillandsia worthy of space in your collection!

Tillandsia fasciculata 'Yellow & Purple'
2464
The truth is, we suspect that this plant is not a fasciculata at all, but rather either a new species or one that we do not know about. For now though, for lack of a better name and because of its resemblance to that species, we will call it Tillandsia fasciculata ‘Yellow & Purple’. The plant is like a ‘typical’ fasciculata with an upright rosette formed of stiff, narrow leaves, but the inflorescence is rather stunning. A purple rachis with yellowish branches, showy and long lasting. If anything comes of the name, we’ll keep you posted.

Tillandsia fasciculata Central America
546
Tillandsia fasciculata. A Central American form with stiff greenish gray leaves in an upright rosette and a simple to branched spike of red, yellow or orange. Nice for mounting and will survive outdoors in Florida.

I’ve got my Tillandsia mounted on a outside wall and it survived our latest cold snap without any problem. The color is vibrant and it has a nice, compact shape. Hope to get another one when they’re back in stock.
