A large growing wide leaf hybrid from Chester Skotak. Wide medium green leaves that have white margins and bands of red. Large marginal spines line the leaf edge. This plant has the potential to grow to 30 inches across. The pictures for this plant do not do it justice.

Neoregelia 'Chiquita Linda' x 'Fireball'

A cross of two colorful, stoloniferous miniatures. Forming somewhat upright, bulbous based rosettes to for inches or so on stolons 3 to 4 inches long. The color can range from bronzy with tiny pepper spots and some barring of red to solid reddish with the spots nearly obscured. Good for mounting, hanging pots or terrariums.

A medium size growing hybrid from Ray Coleman. Growing to a average of 16 inches across and 8 inches tall. The leaves are light green with white variegation. A the plant grows it develops a dark red veneer over the out two thirds of the leaves. The leaf tip turns black. And there is some bands and spots of blackish red. Are nice unusual color.

A unique miniature Neoregelia by Devonshire from New Zealand is a cultivar of (Exotica Misty Pink x Tiger Cub) x Ritzy Tiger. The color is gold with a hint of green and the leaves have distinct longitudinal lines of red, and red marbled cross-bands. The plant needs bright filtered light for its best color. Its stoloniferous habit makes it a good candidate for a hanging basket.

A cross of (cyanea x concentrica) by Odean Head. A 6 x 6 inch hybrid with thick, inch wide reddish leaves that look a bit like olens, with yellow dots throughout. Slight silver banding on the undersides.

One of Chester Skotak’s ‘creations’. He crossed ‘Hannibal Lecter’ with ‘Tiger Cub’ and got another ‘killer’ plant! (Pun intended) Deep-green leaves are glossy-green, thick and leathery, marked with blackish bars and banding on the upper and lower sides. The leaf margins are heavily armed with large black spines. A medium grower to about 18 inches in a loose rosette.

A variegated sport of Neoregelia 'Voodoo Doll'. Bright purple plant with cream variegation and margins. A 20 inch rosette of soft leaves with small spines, develops a most unique coloration. Color deepens with age, but is colorful in all kinds of light. Not for direct sun.

Neoregelia 'Rio Ocher' x olens 'Vulcan'

An as yet unnamed cross of Neoregelia ‘Rio Ocher’ x olens ‘Vulcan’ is an apple green plant with a vivid red center flush at anthesis. The inch and a half wide leaves are somewhat thick and leathery and the marginal spines are small. It develops some red cross-banding on the leaves which become more pronounced with strong light or when grown “harder”. Offsets are on short stolons and the plant is good for mounting and for terrarium use.
