Formerly Ronnbergia neoregelioides
A rare stoloniferous species from Bahia, Brazil that little resembles other more familiar members of the genus. Forming a 4in tall, tubular rosette with narrow outer leaves and wide inner leaves, it looks superficially like a green Neo. wilsoniana. The lilac flowers are widely flaring, nested in the center. A true novelty that appears not to be in cultivation though it was described by Leme in 1999.
