This cultivar is among the smallest of the many forms of Tillandsia latifolia v. latifolia. In cultivation it grows to about three inches across with narrowly triangular, silvery-gray leaves. It always forms a new offset on its inflorescence.
This is an apparent adaptation to its habitat of shifting sand dunes in northern Peru. It also forms additional offsets, mostly around the base of the inflorescence, so is a prolific grower. Prefers bright conditions on the drier side.
