A beauty as well as a curiosity, with rubbery, four angled, gray-green stems with knobby-serrate ribs. This decorative plant grows in compact, upright clusters along a stout stem. The flowers are large and unique, bell shaped with flaring ‘petals’, all deeply burgundy red. Native to the rocky mountains of Swaziland and Northeastern South Africa.
Easy to cultivate and fairly cold hardy.
