We think that there is some confusion about this plant. We have our plant which came directly from the breeder; Jim Elmore some years ago, but you can see photos on the web of this plant which do not look like our plant nor do they match the description in the BSI cultivar registry. (Their photo doesn’t match either!) Anyway, this is a plant that has a wonderful shape. Very compact, very wide leaves that overlap in an 18 inch rosette, apple green with purplish apiculate tips and a veneer of concentric purplish bands and spots. The plant has a bit of a purplish wash with green spots showing through. Very distinctive and very attractive. Jim registered the cross as 'Morris Henry Hobbs' x 'Green Apple' which the plant resembles, both parents.
