Reportedly (concentrica 'Hobb's Hybrid' x concentrica 'Jungle Gardens Grande') were crossed by Gary Hendrix, resulting in a grex of wide leaved beauties from which this plant came. Concentric banding and some blotching of reddish to deep purplish-brown occurs with maturity and strong light. The center flush at anthesis is purple.
