Kathy Dorr found this Cryptanthus back in the early 1970’s in Dallas, Texas, so named it after the place it was found, and it may be an early hybrid by Mulford Foster.  The plant has 10+ wide lanceolate leaves forming a large open flat oval shape to 22″ in diameter.  The brown-pink, almost rosewood in color, leaves have light silver cross-banding.  The undersides of the leaves have medium dense silver scurf.
