SMALL GROWER
This small, decorative species was discovered by famous Aechmea collector John Anderson along with Wally Berg on an expedition to Bahia, Brazil with Pedro Nahoum. This plant was later described as a new species by Luther & Leme and named in honor of John.
Our plants are descendants of the type specimen. It is a handsome miniature, flowering at 6 to 10in tall, somewhat bulbous in an open rosette, green with some banding on the leaves. The inflorescence is a panicle of pink berries.
