An all-time favorite from Brazil is about 6 inches across in a leafy rosette with stiff gray-green leaves. It produces a stunning blue-flowered, plume-shaped pink inflorescence in the summer. In nature this plant can be found growing on the restinga sands of beach dunes and in trees in the foothills of the Atlantic Range in Brazil.
Large clumps will form in just a few seasons, that can be hung from wires and will form perfectly symmetrical balls of many plants. One of the easiest and most prolific of Tillandsias to cultivate.
Regular Retail prices are $4.00 (Small plant), $6.00 (Medium plant), $8.00 (Large plant) and $15.00 (Small Clump). Save $2.50 - $7.50 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

The order arrived perfect. Well packed for shipment. They perked right up after a drink of water. Can't wait to see them in their full color!
Received the plants in perfect condition and as always well packed and labeled. Plants are always clean and well groomed. never ever get any plants with dried leaves or trimmed tips, plants are perfect in every way. My only improvement would be to send plants of the same grade size. Some plants were offsets while others were the larger size ordered.

A perfect hybrid. Halfway between both parents (brachycaulos x concolor), this fine hybrid has the shape of a concolor with fairly stiff leaves, but a glabrous sheen like brachycaulos. At anthesis it blushes red with a short scape with long, stiff bracts and short red branches bearing deep violet flowers. Highly recommended.
Regular Retail prices are $4.00 (X-Small plant), $5.00 (Small plant) and $8.00 (Medium plant). Save $2.50 - $4.50 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

Basically this species looks like a larger growing aeranthos, however it is also possible that this is another species, similar to aeranthos, but not the same. A caulescent plant with green to bronzy 3-inch long leaves.
The inflorescence is an extended scape with pink bracts and deep inky-blue flowers. Forms large clusters of plants that will bloom simultaneously in its season.
Regular Retail prices are $4.00 (Small plant) and $6.00 (Medium plant). Save $3.20 - $4.25 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

Somewhat resembles a Tillandsia brachycaulos in size and shape but less leafy. Leaves are somewhat stiff, shiny, and gray/green. The entire plant flushes pink or peach when in bloom, with a short scape. An epiphyte on shrubby trees in the scorching valleys of central Honduras. Definitely something different. Easy to grow.
Regular Retail prices are $5.00 (Small plant) and $8.00 (Medium plant). Save $3.00 - $5.00 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

A cross of two plants of the southern cone of South America. Tillandsia ixioides which has few, very stiff leaves and no appreciable stem and bergeri which has a long stem and many short, stiff leaves. The result is a plant with many stiff leaves that recurve downwards in a rosette to about 4 inches in diameter. The inflorescence favors bergeri, with pale blue, twisted petals.
Regular Retail prices are $3.00 for a Small plant and $5.00 for a Medium plant. Save $1.50 - $2.50 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

A Guatemalan species to about 8 x 10 inches with lovely thick silvery leaves, a bright red, cylindrical, simple spike and purple flowers. Nice for mounting. A giant form of concolor from Mexico with the same general characteristics as the typical form, but reaching nearly a foot across. A desert dweller with a restricted range, it can be seen growing on cacti and Acacia in the extremely harsh country near Cuicatlan, Oaxaca. Stiff yellowish-green foliage tints reddish in the sun, and a shiny multiple branched spike of yellow to red with pink flowers. An outstanding plant.
Note: It is suggested by the BSI that this is a natural hybrid of unknown parentage. I doubt that. The plants are abundant in habitat but of limited range and they vary little. I believe that this is just a large and attractive clone or possibly form of the species. The ‘normal’ form does not seem to occur within the range of ‘Cuicatlan‘.
Regular Retail prices are $12.50 (Small plant) and $15.00 (Medium plant). Save $4.00 - $5.00 per plant (depending on size) when you buy in bulk!

A hybrid of (mallemontii x duratii) by M. Patterson in Australia, it’s a pretty good combination of the two parents. Tillandsia duratii is a robust plant with a long stem and curling leaves, rootless in the adult form and producing a long, branched inflorescence with fragrant purple flowers. Tillandsia mallemontii is a plant with fine leaves, forming a tangled ball with many plants. The slender inflorescence is un-branched and produces a large, fragrant, purple flower
The hybrid ‘Wonga’ looks more like a skinny duratii with many curly leaves and a long, branching inflorescence. The stunning thing though is that the flowers of both parents are very fragrant and those of ‘Wonga’ are not!

This cute little caulescent plant is a cross of (tectorum x paleacea) reaching about 6 to 8 inches long, with 2 inch fuzzy silver leaves. Not as fuzzy as the tectorum parent, but still very fuzzy. A very prolific, fast-grower, producing many offsets and forming clumps fairly quickly. The scape is about 6 inches long with purple flowers. Grow it hanging from a string or mount it. A very easy ‘confidence builder’ for beginners, but a nice plant for any collection.
