An attractive form of nudicaulis collected by Wally Berg and John Anderson (BAB212) on one of their Brazilian trips. A compact grower with a thick shape of short, wide leaves in a flaring, upright, tubular vase shape. The color is light green with darker green mottling towards the base and a distinct reddish edge to the leaves. Marginal spines are prominent. The leaves have apiculate tips and bear the thumbprint typical of the species. Forms tight clusters on short stolons. Good for mounting and small enough to grow in many terrarium set ups.
