This is an especially large and robust form of this species that came originally from Argentina. T. didisticha is one of the most sought Tillandsias for collections. A lovely medium sized plant usually to about 6 to 12 inches, this form can grow to about 16 inches across with a bloom spike of lovely pink to almost coral colored branches and white flowers. Stays in color for many months. Easy to grow, prefers bright conditions, on the dry side. Very cold tolerant to near freezing with no distress.

A large and very leafy form of Tillandsia fasciculata that was collected in Yosondua, Oaxaca, Mexico by the late Guy Wrinkle. This complex of plants is widespread from Florida and the Caribbean to northern South America and in all likelihood involves several species as yet not separated or identified.

This form has very stiff foliage in an open, 24 inch rosette leaves that are fairly narrow and tapering to a sharp point, green with some silver trichomes and tinting red in strong light. The inflorescence is erect with a red scape and many long, slender branches of yellow. A choice plant.

One of the most spectacular of Tillandsias, with succulent silvery leaves and a massive inflorescence consisting of a red rachis with long silvery white branches. A Honduran endemic, restricted to the river canyons of the northwest, near the Guatemalan border, where it grows high up on vertical limestone cliffs. A large grower, it thrives potted or mounted and can reach well over 30 inches tall. An outstanding plant worthy of space in any collection.

 A slow growing, large, showy species that’s never in good supply.

A species with long very thin, grassy leaves, that are stiff, succulent and form a spreading, funnelform rosette. Closely resembling Tillandsia hammeri, it differs in being larger, more spreading, less silvery and stoloniferous. The inflorescence has more and wider branches but is more compact and taller, among other differences. Native to limestone outcrops near Nizanda, Oaxaca, Mexico, it was first collected by Ehlers and only described in 2016. The many leaves form an upright rosette to nearly two feet tall with an erect inflorescence of pink bracts and deep violet flowers.

This is an unidentified species that is at least similar to fasciculata and with a ‘Pink & Green’ inflorescence. We have had this for many years and in the interim have lost the locality data for it. We believe that this was originally from Mexico, but may be mistaken. Too bad, because this data is important when trying to identify plants. At any rate, this is a nice and colorful, fairly large-growing Tillandsia worthy of space in your collection!
