One of the most desirable and sought Tillandsia species ever. This is the rare clone with the deep-red inflorescence, from the hinterlands of the Darien in Panama. A rather small plant, growing to about six inches across in a somewhat bulbous, greenish-gray open rosette. The inflorescence is a short inflated, disproportionately large, arrowhead-shaped scape of deep red. We collected our original stock of these beauties some years ago on one of our most adventurous trips ever, and have established a nice sized colony. Easily forms clumps.
Grow bright, out of direct sun, keep warm and feed often.

A ‘giant’ caulescent form from Peru, growing to over a foot long. Makes great clusters with its silvery leaves and large purple flowers. In time this forms a cascading clump of many plants. Very easy to grow, bright and breezy. Cold hardy to about freezing.
A caulescent Peruvian plant that is quite different from other forms of this species. A stem that can reach several feet long, is covered with, 3 inch silvery leaves. A simple 12 inch or larger spike bears large deep purple flowers. An attractive plant that grows fast and produces numerous offsets from the base of the old bloom spike. This form doesn’t make roots.
A miniature novelty with a walnut shape. Mature plants are about 2 inches tall and have odd, metallic gray leaves. The colorful inflorescence is a short scape of deep rose bracts and rose red petals. Discovered by Roberto Kautsky in Domingos Martins, Espirito Santo, Brazil, 1973. Grows as a twig epiphyte in partial shade. In cultivation it likes good air circulation and moderate watering. Not for full sun.
This plant had been listed on C.I.T.E.S. for some years and now has been de-listed. We can now export this plant without special paperwork.
Beautiful! Arrived in great shape and in full bloom. A real beauty of a plant.

Little Gem
This plant was a little smaller than I expected but it sure is adorable. I look forward to having it grow to its full potential. It elongates I believe and having never had one, it will be a great plant to watch. I have hundreds of Tillandsias purchased from you and they have always performed beautifully. Thanks for offering this little beauty.

A miniature gem! Native from southern Florida, Cuba, Mexico, Central America and into South America down to Ecuador and Brazil. This plant is now commercially cultivated in Guatemala. A short, fat little bulb with fuzzy silver leaves looking like little arms. The inflorescence is large for the size of the plant, and is an inflated spike that sometimes blushes deep pink or can remain silvery. Despite it’s fuzzy coat of large silver trichomes, pruinosa is a forest dweller. Grow shady and moist. A very nice, must-have plant.
A magnificent and truly spectacular species from Costa Rica. Native to open forested slopes where specimens in bloom can be seen from long distances across the valleys. Unfortunately, this plant is now becoming rare due to deforestation. A large grower with an inflorescence that is nothing less than spectacular, reaching a height of three feet in a pyramid of brilliant yellow branches and lasting over a year in color. Grows best potted in loose media. Rare in collections.
