A perfect hybrid. Halfway between both parents (brachycaulos x concolor), this fine hybrid has the shape of a concolor with fairly stiff leaves, but a glabrous sheen like brachycaulos. At anthesis it blushes red with a short scape with long, stiff bracts and short red branches bearing deep violet flowers. Highly recommended.
love the colors on this one. So pretty
I attached to a piece of driftwood and its just so pretty
great selection for air plants like this at Tropiflora
Not only do I love the Sparkler, but all the air plants that I have purchased from Tropiflora. I mount mine on driftwood and all of my displays are beautiful. And the staff here are AWESOME!!

A Mexican plant with very stiff leaves in an open rosette of 6 to 8 inches. The leaves are yellowish, blushing reddish in strong light or full sun and it produces a shiny red to yellow-green, branched inflorescence with pink flowers. Easy to grow, preferring conditions on the bright and dry side. Can be suspended from a string or mounted on wood, cork, stone or other substrate. Suitable for dry terrarium use.

Tillandsia caputmedusae. A name that means ‘head of Medusa’. It has silvery twisty leaves and a bulbous base. The inflorescence is red and may be simple or branched. Weird, but easy to grow.

THIS PLANT IS ON C.I.T.E.S. AND CANNOT BE EXPORTED
A beautiful and collectible Tillandsia from Guatemala which forms a large open rosette with wide recurving silver leaves and a handsome yellow inflorescence. Grown mounted or in a basket, the leaves will hang in long curls. Native to seasonally dry forests where they receive abundant sun and good air circulation, in cultivation does well in a hanging basket or a string ‘cradle’, just suspended in a bright, airy place.
A magnificent species now listed as endangered by C.I.T.E.S.
plant is much larger than expected - very good condition
This is a spectacular specimen in perfect condition! I love it and would love to get more in the future.
If you’re in Sarasota, check out the display of these plants being installed at Selby Gardens as part of the upcoming Kasuma exhibit (see photo), then go to Tropiflora to buy your own!
I have purchased plants from Tropiflora both in person and by mail . I recently received a Xerographica which arrived promptly and in great shape. Indeed, all of my purchases have been great and timely.
Excellent service, professional handling and shipping. Amazing, healthy beautiful. Thank You.
I was so excited about the way it was mounted. All I had to do was just go home and hang it up sometime the hardest part is trying to decide how to display them. This was quick easy and I enjoy looking at it every day. Hands down, you have the best selection, healthiest plants, and great prices.
You always feel like family when you shop at tropiflora

This cute little caulescent plant is a cross of (tectorum x paleacea) reaching about 6 to 8 inches long, with 2 inch fuzzy silver leaves. Not as fuzzy as the tectorum parent, but still very fuzzy. A very prolific, fast-grower, producing many offsets and forming clumps fairly quickly. The scape is about 6 inches long with purple flowers. Grow it hanging from a string or mount it. A very easy ‘confidence builder’ for beginners, but a nice plant for any collection.
Plant came as advertised and I was satisfied with the clump that was sent to me, very healthy plant.
So many wonderful healthy plants! Love the huge varieties and blooms!

A cliff dwelling species from the high badlands of Honduras grows in a somewhat caulescent rosette with wide silvery leaves that blush pinkish when in bloom. The inflorescence is capitate on a short scape of peach colored bracts and lavender flowers. The range of this rarity from central Honduras is restricted to a few isolated limestone cliffs. The natural population has been decimated by forest fires but fortunately it is easily propagated and now grown in fairly large numbers.

A cultivar of (capitata ‘Peach’ x concolor). A handsome, medium sized plant with an open rosette shape of fairly stiff, recurving, channeled, gray leaves. The inflorescence is about 12 inches tall, with long bracts and a clustered head of short, shiny, reddish branches and beautiful blue flowers. The upper part of the plant blushes peach color at anthesis.

Also known as ‘Huamelula‘, is among the largest and loveliest of the various ionantha forms. It occurs naturally on rocky cliffs above a deep seaside canyon in Oaxaca, Mexico. This form grows up to six inches across in a spreading rosette, and colors a magnificent overall red when in bloom. Large, lovely and easy to grow!
Living Tillandsias attached to assorted shells. This adorable display resembles a jellyfish! Super easy to take care of and makes an easy gift for the plant or sea animal enthusiast lover in your life.
The shells have fishing line secured to the top. You can hang it from the fishing line or upside down with the plant facing upwards in a bright filtered light area. Growing in a widow works wonders.
When watering, you can get the entire plant and shell wet but make sure excess water is able to escape.
Plants are assorted. If you have a preference, please leave it in the notes section OR contact us before or after the order has been placed.
We will pack the shipment as carefully as we can, but we can not guarantee that the Alfonso shells will not break during shipment due to their delicate shell. Please understand this risk when purchasing the Alfonso shell. Muffin Snail and Tonna Shell would be a more secure option.
Thank you for your help.
It made a great birthday gift. My girlfriend loved it!
Best greenhouse around!

A cultivar of Paterson’s cross of (tenuifolia x recurvifolia). A small plant to about 4 inches tall and wide with stiff, gray-green leaves in a loose rosette. The plant much more closely resembles the tenuifolia parent in shape but is more silvery. The inflorescence is a short scape with deep pink bracts and white flowers, close to the recurvifolia parent. Easily forms clusters of plants and is a fast, easy grower.

A hybrid of (brachycaulos x streptophylla) by Paterson. A plant of variable size that may flower from 5 to 10 inches tall. Somewhat bulbous and upright, the leaves are reddish and lepidote, blushing red at anthesis. The inflorescence is capitate with blue flowers.

A unique yellow-blushing clone of Tillandsia ionantha with white flowers. When in bloom, the whole top of the plant turns a bright golden yellow instead of red. A beautiful sight! Found amongst plants imported from Veracruz, Mexico by Drew Schulz and later named ‘Druid’ by her husband in her honor, adding a twist of mystery as well.
Easy to grow as the ‘normal’ form and thus far, completely stable.
