A wonderful and very unusual Brazilian plant, tall and tubular, more closely resembling an Ae. bromeliifolia than the typical open rosettes of pineliana. The inflorescence is a cone like structure as in the ‘normal’ forms, but larger. The plant can reach over 30 inches tall with green leaves that tint coppery in strong light. Rare in cultivation.
