A real cute small growing compact plant, reaching only 8 to 10 inches. The leaves, forming a dense symmetrical rosette, are deep green with abundant red spotting and blotching. A hybrid by Odean Head, named after his wife, Betty.

Neoregelia ‘Hannibal Lecter‘ An unusual, very decorative hybrid from Chester Skotak, with a name that reflects his famed, warped wit. Three clones exist, all selections of a grex resulting from the cross of Neo. punctatissima x carcharodon ‘Tiger’. In general, the plants are medium sized, to about 24 inches across, very stiff leaved with stout spines, and boldly banded with reddish-brown over green.

A smaller grower with a somewhat upright rosette shape. The leaves are almost smooth, light green with darker green mottling and develop a reddish veneer with age. The center is light at anthesis with white flowers. Useful as a terrarium subject.

A really nice hybrid from Lisa Vinzant.  A small growing plant with medium green leaves. It is heavily marked with crossbands of red. The leaves are wider than most plants that are similar in size. Offsets on stolons.

NEW SKOTAK WORLDWIDE RELEASE

A new 2024 release from Chester Skotak. A large grower that matures at 32 inches across. Medium green with white margins Numerous wavy cross-bands throughout the leaves. The veneer is bright red. Grows best in bright filtered light.

A nice, fairly large plant with a 30 inch rosette, apple green leaves with red tips and red veneer, heaviest towards the tips. The green shows through the red, forming spots.

A 2024 release from Chester Skotak. Large growing to 20 inches across. Medium green base with wide white variegation. It has a red veneer with color breaks. The color breaks appear as dots and bands of white.  Grows best in bright filtered light.

A medium size grower. Green colored leaves that develop a purple veneer. The purple veneer is broken by many greenish yellow spots. Blushes purple at anthesis. Makes a nice landscape plant.

An uncommon plant that is not yet widely represented in collections, Neoregelia x correiaaraujoi albomarginated is an enigmatic species considered by some to be a natural hybrid of Neo. johannis and marmorata. It is, however, listed in the binomials and is still an ‘official’ species.

A large growing plant from the southern regions of the Atlantic Forest of Brazil, the rosette can be nearly 4 feet across with leaves 6 inches wide, light green with red mottling, pale above, stronger below, and red leaf tips. In bright light or even full sun it becomes much more compact.

Our clone is a albomarginated, with a wide creamy white stripe up the leaf margins.
