Our plants are descendents of some that we collected in the Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, Brazil some years ago. They were growing on exposed rock, in full sun, shaded only slightly by some spare shrubs. A reddish leaved, somewhat tubular, upright rosette on short stolons.
A member of the Longipetalopsis subgenus, it produces large showy lavender flowers. An uncommon but showy small species.
