One of the decorative terrestrial or lithophytic species of Hohenbergia that are so often found in the state of Bahia, Brazil. This one, like most, is variable. Ours tend to be wide-leafed in a full, open rosette. Can also have a more upright shape with a bulbous base characteristic of many similar species. The color is pale green with light reddish speckling, blushing to purplish-brown in strong light. The inflorescence is sort of generic for the genus, a branched spike with a cottony layer of trichomes.
