A species in the E. milii group which is found in the southwest of Madagascar. Still a rare plant in cultivation, it is fairly decorative and well worth growing. Tall stems of dark brown have many branches and spines in groups of three. Actually you may only notice one spine as the center spine is quite long and stout while the others are much reduced. The leaves are nearly round, about a half inch long and green with a slight pubescence are spaced randomly along the stems. The flowers are in clusters on the tops of the stems and have green to mottled cyathia. A very nice, easy to cultivate species.
Note: This plant is on C.I.T.E.S. and can not be exported.
