A variety of T. mima from the area of Rio Jequetepeque in the Department of Cajamarca, Peru that was discovered by Prof. Dr. Werner Rauh and published in 1977. A saxicole in nature, it has extremely heavy, wire-like roots for holding fast to rocks. Differing from the other typical forms of mima in having narrow foliage, many leaves and a smaller size of only about 24 inches maximum and usually smaller. Like the other forms, produces adventitious offsets at the base and this form also produces them on the inflorescence as well.
The inflorescence is quite tall, over 3 feet, tripinnate and bearing dark violet flowers. Our plants came from Dr. Rauh many years ago. We find this species hardy but very slow growing.

An attractive pot plant or hardy landscape plant, cylindrical spike with rose-red bracts and yellow flowers. A medium sized clustering plant with an upright rosette shape and short stolons. The green foliage has a dusting of trichomes giving a slight grayish appearance.
Nice plant for mounting, with upright, somewhat tubular stoloniferous rosettes to about 8 inches or so. The leaves are green with dark bases, tiny spines and the spike is a delicate panicle of dark gray and blue. Very attractive in clumps, it is also a good choice for terrariums.
A cultivar of Billbergia 'Anna Louise' x leptopoda by Ben Sill. Narrow tube of green with white spots smudge patterns of red on the underside of the leaves. Prefers bright filtered light.
A new unusual cultivar of nummularia from Thailand. It has darker and smaller green leaves than the parent. The shape of the leaves is convex and are closely spaced and they grow very close to the stem.
This is one of Bill Baker’s crosses for which he was justifiably famous. A beautiful plant with bright silvery, fairly narrow leaves with large, pronounced marginal spines. A very leafy plant forming a full, thick rosette to about 18 inches across.
A medium size growing species from Colinas do Sul Brazil. Thick succulent green leaves with some red along the edges when grown in full sun. The spines are short, stiff and very sharp.
