A purported natural hybrid from Oaxaca, Mexico of Tillandsia tomasellii x fasciculata v. densispica, though such parentage can only be an educated guess but both suggested parents do live together in the area. A large grower with broad, deeply channeled, tapering, silvery leaves. The shape is an open rosette with the leaves growing in a recurved spiral.
The inflorescence is a tall scape, red but made pink by silvery trichomes. The scape bracts are long and leaf-like, blushing reddish towards the top of the rachis. A dozen or more stout branches of pale yellow form a loose cluster well above the foliage. This is a handsome plant with long lasting color.

A nice hybrid of stricta x leonamiana with silvery-white leaves in a full rosette that can reach 10 inches across in larger specimens. The inflorescence is fairly stricta-like, about 6 inches long and nodding. The bracts are bright pink frosted with silver on the tips. A choice plant!

A pretty caulescent hybrid of Till. albida x funckiana.
As always the Tropiflora team does a great job offering top quality plants. Received 5 budded Tillandsia Funky Billy plants- appreciate finding 5 budded plants! Great packing- no damage whatsoever!
Thank you!

A cultivar of Paterson’s cross of (tenuifolia x recurvifolia). A small plant to about 4 inches tall and wide with stiff, gray-green leaves in a loose rosette. The plant much more closely resembles the tenuifolia parent in shape but is more silvery. The inflorescence is a short scape with deep pink bracts and white flowers, close to the recurvifolia parent. Easily forms clusters of plants and is a fast, easy grower.

A hybrid of (stricta x duratii) by Patterson. A caulescent plant to 18 inches, with a great many narrow, deeply channeled, curling, soft, silvery leaves that form a twisted cluster. The inflorescence is about 10 to 12 inches long, branched and produces open, purple flowers with a slight fragrance, though it is a reluctant bloomer.
The plants arrived in good condition. Awesome!
As always, the best- I could easily “ go broke “ buying all I would like. The shipping was really good and the specimen will become part of my air plant garden. Will, obviously, buy more- thanks

A hybrid of (brachycaulos x exserta). Many stiff gracefully curving leaves, dusted with silver, form a 10 to16 inch rosette. A tall deep rose-red scape has long, narrow bracts, adding to the fullness and beauty of this very fine hybrid.
Have had mine for about 6 months - she is doing wonderfully and is now growing her first pup!

This plant was named by Bill Timm, but originally imported by Tropiflora as a natural hybrid of (ionantha x paucifolia) from Guatemala. Growing to about 4 inches tall in an upright, spreading rosette of fairly soft, silvery leaves with a slight bulbous base. The foliage tints red at anthesis and the inflorescence is a short scape with purple flowers.

Something of a mystery. We had this plant for years labeled as (ionantha x brachycaulos) which is the opposite cross of ‘Victoria‘ but it was quite different looking. Recently we examined this plant in bloom more closely and it appears that it is more likely a hybrid of (ionantha x caput-medusae) based on the leaf texture and inflorescence structure. Possibly a natural hybrid, it superficially resembles a giant ionantha to about 8 inches tall, with stiff, silvery leaves arranged in a recurving upright vase shape. The inflorescence is a short pink scape with blue flowers nested in the center. The whole plant blushes slightly reddish when in bloom.
