A handsome plant with an egg-shaped, bulbous base and terete leaves that are mostly upright and somewhat wavy. Green with a slight veneer of silver trichomes, it blushes red on the upper leaves at anthesis. The inflorescence is tall, but not as tall as the foliage and bright reddish. Forms large clusters with time.
