A cultivar of a hybrid by Mark Dimmitt of Tillandsia ferreyrae x bulbosa, named by N. Wong. Taller and larger and leafier than bulbosa, but most resembling that parent. A handsome plant with an egg-shaped, bulbous base and terete leaves that are mostly upright and somewhat wavy. Green with a slight veneer of silver trichomes, it blushes red on the upper leaves at anthesis. The inflorescence is tall, but not as tall as the foliage and bright reddish. Forms large clusters with time.
