A rare plant from southern Ecuador where it grows on the moist slopes of the Amazonian side of the Andes. An interesting species with an open rosette shape, green leaves, discolor or purplish on the underside with a bloom or waxy powder on the leaves. The inflorescence has a short scape with a cluster of lepidote green branches.
Very unusual and nice looking. In our experience this species does best potted in a well draining mix. Requires pure water to grow well and is not recommended for beginners.
