This is a rarely seen and rarely cultivated species from Mexico. Our plants were originally collected by Harry Luther in 1993 above Panuco, Sinaloa, Mexico, growing on rocks, and bear the Marie Selby Botanical Garden accession number of SEL1993-0065. An upright grower with strap-like leaves about an inch wide at the base, tapering to a point. Slightly bulbous, and flaring. The inflorescence is a sinuous yellow rachis and yellow branches with red scape bracts. Easy to grow and bloom.
