This is a smaller, more graceful, petit clone of Tillandsia brachycaulos, found in a shipment of plants from Guatemala some years ago by John Russell. He grew the plant under that name and we have continued the same, though it has no botanical standing and is not, so far as we know, registered. If you like typical brachycaulos, you'll like this one. It blushes deep red as the normal form but has slightly more glossy leaves. The mature size is about four inches across with leaves about a quarter inch wide.
