A beautiful new hybrid by Corn Bak. The cross information has not been reported, but it superficially looks like Tillandsia leiboldiana or Guzmania wittmackiana in general shape. A beautiful, full rosette of narrow, deep green leaves in an arching rosette to about 24 inches across. Without a bloom the plant would look much like any number of Guzmania hybrids. The inflorescence is tall with many well-spaced branches of deep wine purple with long bracts of the same color which exceed the length of the branches. The top of the scape has a cluster of more upright branches.
