A Rhipsalis species from Gamboa, Santa Catarina, Brazil. This is an epiphytic species from lowland, coastal forest that is quite dense and home to many epiphytes such as bromeliads, orchids and aroids as well as several species of Rhipsalis. This plant is shrub-like with upright stems that later droop and hang, having oblong, flattened segments with crenate margins. New growth is reddish. Without a doubt this is a species with a name, but as yet we have not had sufficient verification to know for sure what it is. Our code number will remain with the plant and when we get an identification, you can update your records by the code should you acquire a plant.
