THIS PLANT IS ON C.I.T.E.S. AND CANNOT BE EXPORTED
This species is one that we brought back from Barra do Sul on the coast of Santa Catarina state in far southern Brazil. There were several species in the area and this one though was growing in the seaside restinga vegetation. It appears to be very hardy to drought and sunny locations. Up to now it remains unidentified to us. We did not see the flowers, but the fruit was pink. This is an opportunity to get something different and perhaps new. Our code number will always remain with the plant so later if we are able to get a positive identification, it will be listed here with the new information.
