This plant is a piece of the type plant of Dyckia milagrensis collected by Pedro Nahoum in Milagres, Morro de Sao Cristov o, Bahia, Brazil in 1996 and described as a new species by Elton M.C. Leme. Our plant came to us from the Marie Selby Botanical Garden collection with the number of SEL 2007-0033. It is a handsome plant to about 16 inches across with fairly narrow, very silvery, stiff leaves with oversized spines in a full, leafy rosette. A good producer of offsets.
