This is a widespread species found from Peru to Bolivia and Brazil. This particular one is our largest and most prolific, reaching up to 18 inches across, it has silvery-green leaves. A nice feature is that it offsets freely and blooms faithfully with a tall, branched inflorescence up almost 4 feet tall, with bright yellow flowers. As is characteristic with Deuterocohnia, the inflorescence persists after anthesis to bloom again in successive years.
