A species from the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo authored by Elton M.C. Leme. The plant is a bright uniform green with flag-like leaves held high on long petioles. Individual leaves can attain lengths more than 16-inches in length and 1.5-inches wide, however, because the leaves are held up high in a loose vase-shaped whorl the overall diameter is generally around 20-inches. The undersides of the leaves are just slightly scurfed with longitudinal lines and the midrib is slightly pronounced with a keel the entire length of the leaf.
** For best results, we grow this Cryptanthus in a dirty Turface All Sport® mix, a half and half mixture of a light potting mix and Turface. You may also try perlite or expanded perlite.
