A handsome species from Thailand and surrounding countries, named for Korat, a town near Bangkok. Somewhat variable, with a petiole from whitish with blackish mottling to all green or white. Not a large grower, it produces a large, deeply incised leaf on a 30 inch petiole from a substantial tuber.
The inflorescence consists of a spathe that looks like a rolled leaf that can be pale tan, green or reddish with a short spadix within. Dormant in winter when it should be left in the soil but not watered.
