A spectacularly variegated form of this large growing species that is native to Southeast Asia from India to New Guinea. All forms of this species are suited to landscape use in zones nine and higher. This variegated form has white, ivory and light green mottling over much of each leaf, with no two being alike. Best suited to container culture or to landscape use in moist, loamy soils. Can tolerate high moisture content in the soil and is useful for bog planting. Very decorative and prolific, producing adventitious offsets from below the soil line.
