A beautifully albomarginated form of a Brazilian species that was formerly known as Portea leptantha. A giant grower, easily reaching 40 or more inches in height with an inflorescence that can reach over 5 feet tall. The leaves are stiff and erect, light green to yellowish with an orange blush in strong light and the inflorescence is a tall, many-branched panicle of orange. The leaves have large, stout, dark spines which add to the character of the plant. The white marginal variegation turns bright pink in strong light. Excellent in landscape with an inflorescence that lasts in color for months.
